Rising Dragon Martial Arts: Terms & Conditions
1. Liability Release and Assumption of Risk
I hereby authorize Rising Dragon Martial Arts to undertake training for the student(s) listed below. I recognize that, as with most physical sports, martial arts training involves a risk of injury. I agree to take full responsibility on behalf of myself, my child, or the person in my charge.
I agree that I will not hold Rising Dragon Martial Arts, its staff, the Hamilton Community Center, the City of Richmond, or any affiliated instructors responsible for any injuries or damages that may occur during the course of training. I further certify that I have consulted a physician and am in a physically able condition to participate in these activities.
2. Length of Agreement

3. Attendance, Vacations, and Scheduled Breaks
By signing this contract, the student’s placement in our limited-size classes is reserved. I understand that I am obligated to make all agreed-upon payments regardless of attendance.
-
No Refunds: Tuition payments will not be stopped for missed classes, and no refunds will be issued for monies previously paid.
-
Scheduled Breaks: Our annual tuition takes into account three scheduled breaks: two weeks in Summer, two weeks at Christmas, and one week during Spring Break.
-
On-Demand Access: As our "On Demand" training system remains accessible during these breaks, tuition remain due and non-refundable.
4. Extra Fees Disclosure
All parties acknowledge that costs for Belt Graduations, Weapons, Mandatory Protective Equipment, Seminars, and Tournaments are extra expenses and are not covered under the monthly tuition fees. These payments are due and payable as needed.
5. Cancellation Policy
To cancel this contract, a written or digital notice of intent must be received by Rising Dragon Martial Arts at least one (1) month prior to the intended cancellation date.
6. Holds on Tuition
-
Complimentary Credit: For standard terms, if you must take a break, your payments will continue to secure your spot; however, we will note your time away and credit that time back to you at the end of your contract term.
7. Virtual Martial Arts Waiver & Release
By participating in virtual classes, you do so entirely at your own risk and assume all risks of injury, illness, or death. Neither Rising Dragon Martial Arts nor ATA International are responsible for personal injury or damage to personal property.
-
You release and discharge all instructors, owners, and ATA International from any and all claims or causes of action, including negligence to the extent permitted by law.
-
If any portion of this release is deemed invalid by a court, the remainder shall stay in full force.
-
Supervision: A parent or legal guardian must be present during all 1-to-1 virtual lessons for minors.

I hereby grant Rising Dragon Martial Arts permission to take photographs and videos of the student(s) during classes, events, and graduations. I understand that these materials may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to: social media, website content, flyers, and advertisements. I waive any right to compensation or ownership regarding these images/videos and release Rising Dragon Martial Arts from any claims arising from their use.
